3 Screen Solutions (3SS) said it has been selected by Big Blue Marble to provide the Android TV custom launcher and apps for Android TV, Samsung and LG smart TV platforms for its TV-as-a-service platform.
The front-end apps were developed using the 3Ready Framework from 3SS. The platform is designed to support tier 2 and tier 3 cable operators and OTT service providers across international markets.
SEI Robotics’ Android TV-based STB was also selected as the hardware foundation for the managed end-to-end platform.
Big Blue Marble is the new international B2B media technology brand created by ORS Group, Austria’s national broadcasting services provider, and video streaming experts Insys VT, which designed and developed the new TV-as-a-service platform and partnered with 3SS and SEI Robotics.
