Clear-Com has launched Avalon, a new 1RU IP intercom platform for networked production, designed to simplify and scale workflows across broadcast and live events.
Avalon supports FreeSpeak wireless beltpacks, HelixNet digital partyline, V-Series and I.V. Direct, with scalable licensed port capacity and flexible IP interfacing. This allows users to configure systems based on current needs and expand without additional hardware.
Designed as a cost-efficient option for IP-only workflows, Avalon provides a streamlined alternative for users who do not require analogue audio connectivity.
Dave MacKinnon, VP of Product Management at Clear-Com, said: "We focused on simplifying deployment while maintaining the flexibility and performance our customers expect. The result is a modern IP platform that enables teams to scale efficiently and communicate reliably across a wide range of environments."
The platform supports AES67, Dante and Clear-Com’s I.V. Direct technologies for local and remote connectivity. It also offers expanded IP capacity and networking flexibility for productions and installations operating on converged infrastructures.
Frank Linton, Product Manager at Clear-Com, added: "The licensed port architecture allows users to scale capacity over time without replacing hardware, while support for open standards helps simplify integration into existing workflows."
