DJI’s Mic Mini 2S targets unpredictable acoustics

Chinese tech giant DJI has launched the Mic Mini 2S, its first mini wireless microphone with internal recording, featuring 32-bit float capture and AI-powered noise cancellation for unpredictable acoustics.

The device, which launched on 4 August, is designed to handle unpredictable acoustics. Support for 32-bit float recording gives greater flexibility in post-production, capturing a wider dynamic range from faint whispers to sudden noise without clipping.

AI noise cancellation adapts to different recording conditions, with two available modes. Basic mode reduces indoor background sounds such as fans, air conditioning and reverb, while Strong mode cuts through more aggressive outdoor noise to keep speech clear.

Additional features include Clipping Control, which protects against sudden volume spikes, and Loudness Balance, which dynamically maintains consistent output levels. Three voice tone presets are also available.

Each transmitter has 14.5GB of storage, providing up to 28 hours of recording in the default 24-bit mode. A single receiver can connect to four transmitters simultaneously, supporting discussions and small-group productions. Magnetic front covers allow for personalisation.

DJI will showcase the Mic Mini 2S at IBC2026.
