Designed to provide high quality, live and on-demand multiscreen TV services over any network, Anevia’s Flamingo IPTV head-end was on show at IBC.

Anevia also showcased its Genova Live software-based encoder for live OTT encoding, as well as live IPTV video encoding. It compresses live video and audio feeds to H.264 (AVC) and HEVC for IPTV and multi bitrate OTT, and encodes content in SD, HD and 4K/UHD with HDR.

Additionally, the company demonstrated its cloud DVR solution, NEA-DVR. NEA-DVR includes what Anevia describes as a hyper-convergent storage system specifically for video, called EDS. EDS is said to simplify the integration between streaming and storage by embedding storage on servers, halving the number of physical rack units needed.

Ivonne Prugnaud, VP, worldwide sales, enterprise, said: “In the transition from broadcast to OTT, there are many requirements: 4K video, ultra-low latency, growing storage demands, dynamic ad insertion. All this usually needs integration between many different components sourced from different vendors: an encoder, a packager, Cloud DVR, storage, and CDN. With Anevia’s solutions for OTT video delivery, the transition to OTT becomes a lot easier and shorter because all the components have already been integrated and tested to work together.”

Anevia is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 5.B66.
