Reemah Sakaan leads BritBox in the UK and the joint venture’s global brand growth, driving international expansion and the impending launch of BritBox Australia.
BritBox is ITV and BBC backed subscription video on demand service. Having worked on the inception of the partnership between ITV and BBC, Reemah was responsible for the creation of the BritBox brand and global concept proposition.
Prior to the successful launch of BritBox in the UK in November of 2019, Reemah spent 18 months based in New York driving the brand’s impressive subscriber growth (which surpassed 1 million subscribers in March 2020) alongside its launch into Canada in February 2018, making it one of the most successful entries into the highly competitive North American subscription video service market.
Simon James, Head of Sales Engineering, Applicaster
Simon James is head of sales engineering for Applicaster’s EMEA and APAC business. Applicaster’s Zapp platform powers the creation and optimisation of customised end-user OTT video experiences for today’s largest media companies and premium content providers including DirecTV, Fox and Viacom.
Prior to Applicaster, Simon led the global Sales Engineering team at NeuLion and has spearheaded global product development efforts and launches across the digital media landscape – including secure adaptive streaming products, premium content VOD storefronts, video encoding SDKs, and professional DVD/Blu-ray production systems – for DivX, Rovi, MainConcept and Sonic Solutions.
