Pixotope to launch unified virtual production platform

Marcus B Brodersen, CEO, Pixotope, said the announcement had received “a lot of positive feedback” at IBC2026. 

“With virtual production being quite a fragmented production technology, with a lot of different vendors involved, it can be hard for productions to plan out what they need in advance,” he said. “They can find themselves constrained by the tools available because they may not have known they needed X, Y or Z. 

“This way, you have less upfront decision-making and can make those decisions on the day when you’re shooting, especially for live production. You need to give directors and producers the opportunity to make calls and decisions on the fly, and of course you need all the tools available,” he added. 

As part of the 26.3 release, Pixotope Zone, its video-based tracking system for sports venues, moves to Windows and onto the same platform and interface as the rest of Pixotope. 

Pixotope Discovery is a free, feature-limited HD configuration with no licensing step. Pixotope Core is a production platform for virtual studio and augmented reality work, including live broadcast video, chroma keying, artist design seats and camera tracking. Pixotope Max is aimed at enterprise broadcast and includes everything in Core, adding videowall and XR capabilities, server redundancy, IP video, and compositing and integration for large broadcast operations.
