Industry events

The Children’s Media Conference 2019 runs from 2-4 July in Sheffield, UK, where there will be an opening keynote speech from The Great British Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussain. 

RTS Yorkshire is holding Adjusting perspective: Getting more BAME crew on set in partnership with Creative Diversity Network on 4 July in Leeds, UK. 

 

Film and TV releases 

Disney’s Marvel returns with a new superhero movie, Spider-man: Far from Home, releasing in US and UK cinemas on Tuesday.

Midsommar, a horror film starring Will Poulter, releases in US and UK cinemas on Wednesday. 

Last year’s Atomic Blonde makes its way onto Netflix UK and will air from Thursday.

Stranger Things returns to Netflix globally with its third season.
