Swisscom offers 5G private network in a box

A 5G private network provided and configured by telco Swisscom is able to provide event organisers with a user-friendly and professional solution for wireless networks at events.

The solution is designed to supplement existing internet connections when WLAN or public 5G reach their capacity limits – whether due to the number of visitors or the locations to be covered. According to the company, the possibility of establishing secure broadband connections without complex cabling offers event organisers numerous advantages.

All the necessary components for the 5G private network are delivered pre-configured in a box or, depending on the size of the event, in a vehicle with a retractable antenna. The high-quality, secured 5G network can be connected via various internet solutions. Swisscom claims it is easily scalable to the number of devices and the area to be covered and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
