With the company’s reputation for innovative, sophisticated design, it comes as little surprise that ruwido has taken the opportunity presented by IBC to launch a new remote that is partially finished in natural marble.
Patterned stone in green and black with white inclusions embellish the surface of the Tictactile. product structure. According to the company, marble shows its versatility best when combined with other materials, so ruwido has designed the frame of the input device in natural aluminium tones, enhancing what it says is the cool and clear appearance of the stone.
Ferdinand Maier, CEO, ruwido, said: “The search for natural surfaces is growing in our digital world. People are longing for a contrast to the constant accessibility and networking via technology and social media. There is a wish to touch natural textures and to look at organic shapes and materials, which we are following with our new Tictactile. product design.”
Carved into the stone, haptic landmarks are said to ensure intuitive navigation on the 3x4 structure of the system.
The structure is based on the Tictactile. system which has been awarded two ‘red dot: best of the best’ awards, one for the product architecture and one for the user interface design.
Ruwido is exhibiting at IBC2019 on Stand 1.D69.
