Vida makes forgotten footage findable

Scene Search is a new offline indexing capability for cloud-native media asset management (MAM) system Vida, which has been designed to make video libraries searchable without relying on manually created metadata.

The tool lets teams search their archives for specific scenes and content, even when material was poorly logged or tagged when it entered the library.

Scene Search aims to help teams find hidden moments in archives

Symon Roue, Managing Director at VIDA, said: "Incredible moments exist in your library. Surfacing it is the problem. Imagine someone who has watched every minute of your archive and remembers it all. Scene Search makes the content itself searchable, so discoverability no longer depends on what was tagged when an asset first entered the library."

Available now as part of Vida Content OS, Scene Search is designed for large media libraries where content arrives faster than it can be manually logged and archives grow faster than metadata can be maintained.

Vida says the tool makes it easier to discover, reuse, and manage existing content at scale.
