The first of its kind to hit the market, the Ecreso FM 1kW from the AiO Series is being launched at IBC. Ecreso is a field-proven FM transmitter brand that has been on the market for over 60 years. The new model is a compact 2U FM transmitter delivering the highest efficiency on the market, claims WorldCast Systems.
In its standard operations, broadcasters benefit from up to 76% efficiency (AC to RF) and when the patented SmartFM technology is activated, they can further reduce their energy consumption by up to 40%. With the soaring price of electricity and growing environmental concerns, Ecreso FM 1kW offers reliable performance that also contributes to energy savings and the decarbonisation of FM transmission, according to the company.
The major innovation with the AiO Series is the union of Ecreso technology with APT codec technology meaning broadcasters can now benefit from an embedded APT IP decoder. WorldCast says this unique software feature directly ingests audio over IP to the Direct to channel digital fm modulator and is compatible with both SureStream and the APTmpX compression algorithm.
It also features a new RF planar design, a swappable power supply and a removable fan from the front panel.
