Media services provider Red Bee Media has promoted its chief commercial officer James Arnold to the position of CEO, replacing Steve Nylund who announced his departure from the company at the end of 2022.
Arnold has been at Red Bee Media since it was established, and his remit will be to steer the company through its next phase of growth.
According to Åsa Tamsons, chairperson at Red Bee Media and SVP at parent company Ericsson, Arnold is the right person for the job at a time when the media landscape “is changing faster than ever, and broadcasters and content providers of all types need to deliver ground-breaking services to consumers while minimising costs and risk”.
For Arnold, the importance of partnerships in media has never been greater than in 2023. “Market acceleration brings increased complexity, risk and unpredictability, and media companies need proven and reliable technology partnerships to capture new revenue opportunities and secure sustainable business growth. We’re ready to empower even more incredible success for our customers, this year and beyond,” he said.
