Accedo has worked with Telecine to deploy an updated version of Telecine Play, a video service offering premium movie and series content to subscribers in Brazil. The updated version will initially be available across Samsung Smart TV devices.

The Telecine Play SVOD service has millions of subscribers across Brazil, offering access to international movies and series, as well as some locally produced titles. Telecine wanted to refresh its video offering to deliver a more engaging user experience for viewers.

Accedo’s Professional Services team supported Telecine’s internal DevOps team to accelerate deployment. Accedo is continuing to work with Telecine to update Telecine Play for other platforms.

The latest version of Telecine Play offers flexibility to iterate on the service, with an adaptable user interface (UI) that can continue to be customised post-launch.

Fabio Lima, product manager, Telecine, explained: “This service relaunch has enabled Telecine to optimise the interface and the video experience for its SVOD and TVOD offering on our two largest platforms. With Accedo’s support we have been able to better implement our brand vision and deliver a premium experience to our subscribers. The updated solution also provides the opportunity to customise our service over time bringing innovation to our platform, grow alongside our audience and secure a competitive edge in the market.”

Telecine Play is currently available across all main devices, but Telecine is working with Accedo’s team to optimise its multi-platform experience on all relevant devices in Latin America.
