Expanding its support for SMPTE ST 2110-30 and AES67, Audinate is aiming to further strengthen Dante’s integration with broadcast networks at IBC2025.
The company says that Dante is already widely used as the backbone for audio-over-IP in broadcast environments, and as video workflows continue to shift from SDI to IP – most notably with the adoption of ST2110 – there is a growing need for convergence with established Dante audio networks.
Will Waters, Principal Product Manager, Audinate, said: “Interoperability is really important and broadcasters don’t want to be inhibited by signal flow. We’ve expanded our support for AES67 and ST 2110-30 and integrated it into Dante without requiring extra orchestration and management. Fundamentally, this development is about removing barriers and delivering more flexibility to our end users.”
The latest updates give broadcast teams more flexibility in how they manage ST 2110-30 and AES67 audio flows. Core configuration tasks can now be completed directly in Dante Controller without the need for Dante Domain Manager, simplifying setup for smaller or fast-paced environments where server-based tools may not be practical. Audinate say that for larger or more complex systems broadcasters can continue using Dante Domain Manager to automate configuration, apply global policies and coordinate settings across subnets, while also taking advantage of expanded device-level control.
