Synamedia is unveiling its Quortex Switch multi-CDN platform at IBC2025, as well as announcing a new partnership with Orange.
The partnership will showcase how international content providers can adopt a flexible, scalable, multi-CDN strategy. This will allow them to integrate several CDN providers, enabling providers to expand their coverage and reach new markets.
By integrating Orange’s CDN with Synamedia’s Quortex Switch, customers benefit from broader reach, especially in the Middle East and Africa region, where Orange has an extensive footprint.
Quortex Switch’s API-based integration and advanced configuration capabilities offer flexibility, enabling customers to expand distribution without altering existing infrastructure or disrupting current CDN partnerships.
Ed Allfrey, General Manager of Video Network, Synamedia, commented: “Quortex Switch allows content providers and ISPs to direct their traffic across multiple CDNs based on cost, commit and quality. In the past, this has been a very difficult process that normally results from failure. Now we can look at what’s going on and steer traffic based on the quality and capacity of the network. Orange now has another string to its bow with seamless CDN switching.”
