German systems integrator and reseller Teltec has signed a deal with Sony at IBC for 50 of its newly launched ILME-FR7 PTZ cameras.

“We were waiting for such a cinematic camera for several years,” said Mustafa Roya, Sales Director, Teltec. “This is the biggest step in the industry for us. It addresses exactly the customer that needs the cinematic look for events, broadcasting and low-light scenarios. It’s the first camera that solves all the issues we had.”

(L-R): Tefik Odza and Fabien Pisano, Sony, with the FR7 and Mustafa Roya and Michael Schneider of Teltec

He believes it will be very successful for a wide range of vertical markets. “The pandemic showed that the demand for PTZ cameras is growing very fast, and with the cinematic look you bring added value to the remote production.”

The FR7 is the world’s first PTZ camera that combines a full-frame image sensor, lens interchangeability, and remote shooting functionality, which opens new creative and cinematic possibilities for a wide range of content creators.
