IBC Roundtable

Closing the security execution gap: “We are in a crisis… we collectively need to be aware”

Gathering at an IBC Roundtable, the industry’s top security experts confronted the 2026 TPN Star Report’s urgent results, the sharp increase in threat exposure, and the missing execution step for broadcasters, studios, and service providers alike.

By any measure, the 2026 Trusted Partner Network (TPN) Star Report delivers a clear message to the media and entertainment industry: security maturity is no longer limited by awareness or policy frameworks – it is constrained by execution.

That conclusion was not only evident in the data – it was reinforced and, in some cases, sharpened during the recent IBC Roundtable on Security. There, industry leaders compared real-world experience against the Star dataset, revealing a striking alignment between measured performance and operational reality.

Taken together, the report and the discussion outline both the scale of the challenge and a practical path forward.
