Thai streaming platform TrueVisions NOW has selected Friend MTS to protect its premium content from piracy attacks.
TrueVisions NOW is part of the TrueVisions cable TV provider in Thailand. It provides thousands of hours of premium local and international content and has exclusive national rights to several major sporting events.
Ongard Prapakamol, head of TrueVisions and media division at True Corporation, said: “As streaming grows in popularity in Thailand, we are riding the crest of the wave with huge investments to give our subscribers a rich variety of high-quality entertainment and sports. This new partnership with Friend MTS ensures that we are securing that investment — and our business — by cracking down on piracy.”
Shane McCarthy, CEO of Friend MTS, added: “TrueVisions has consistently set the standard for pay-TV in the region, and we’re proud they’ve chosen Friend MTS to protect that position. The most premium content deserves the most premium protection — that’s what we deliver for TrueVisions and across APAC.”
