Design and visualisation technology developer Chaos is set to showcase Chaos Arena, which is able to provide real-time ray-tracing for in-camera visual effects (ICVFX) on virtual production stages.
Arena is a “powerful alternative” to game engines, claims Chaos, offering a fast path from pipeline to wall, delivering final-pixel quality directly to LED stages while eliminating technical barriers.
Other flagship products include V-Ray, a 3D rendering software for offline rendering, and Chaos Vantage, for exploring 3D production scenes that are ray-traced in real-time.
Chaos says that its research spans offline and real-time rendering, as well as machine learning and AI.
