Atos is showcasing its Broadcast Network Control System (BNCS) V6 at IBC, highlighting how the platform has evolved to support complex broadcast and media operations.
V6 combines support for SDI, IP-based ST 2110, and hybrid infrastructures as well as a redesigned multi-platform user experience for distributed operations.
At the heart of BNCS V6 is a unified operating model designed to help engineering and operations teams understand not just what is happening across the environment, but how systems, services, and workflows are connected.
An API-first approach to configuration and integration enables service, asset, and workflow information to be consumed from external platforms. This is intended to offer deeper visibility into broadcast operations and workflows. BNCS V6 also strengthens integration with enterprise IT service management platforms, helping align broadcast operations with processes such as incident management, change management, and service inventory management.
A redesigned user interface delivers a consistent experience across Windows, Linux, and browser-based environments, as the same functionality is available across platforms. Role-based access control and configurable operational views allow organisations to tailor workflows to different operational and engineering teams.
