There will be lots of gaming and entertainment opportunity at IBC2023

Sessions include a look at today’s top gaming trends with Liam Deane, Principal Analyst for Gaming Tech, Omdia at 11:00. From key trends across consoles, cloud gaming and subscriptions, to the tech powering the video games market of the future, attendees will hear where the best opportunities across the gaming sector for TV, film and beyond lie.

This is followed by a fireside chat with Helene Juguet, Managing Director, Ubisoft Film & Television Paris, entitled ‘From Gaming to On-screen: The hiccups and highlights’.

Next up is ‘Blurred lines: Gaming & film tech fusion’. As gaming technology and real-time 3D tools help make film production smoother, easier and faster, visual effects being used in popular modern video games are now catching the attention of filmmakers.

This session will look at how to master storytelling and create the perfect fusion of TV, film and gaming through getting creative with tech.

Opportunities for in-game advertising will also be discussed with a look how the industry’s key players are leveraging streaming services to reach gamers and promote their products, and how advertisers, brands and publishers are partnering with streamers and content creators to reach new demographics. Omdia’s Liam Deane will moderate the discussion, which also features Funs Jacobs, Senior Director of Innovation, Media Monks.

Elsewhere on the showfloor and the esports Zone, powered by Unlocked, is set to draw the crowds in Hall 8. This dedicated space of almost 500sqm will demonstrate the very latest in esports production workflows and technology via three distinct production set ups, a partner zone and a networking area.
