Traditional virtual productions use flat display panels to build the studio background, which are interconnected under an angle to create a curve. These columns create edges (lines) that are very noticeable on camera. To avoid or minimise them involves making postproduction adjustments or running real-time solutions which entail an extra cost in filming.

INFiLED will be showcasing a new background technology at IBC that is claimed to be the first flat and curved virtual studio solution on the market, using panels to create a seamless curve.

INFiLED will be highlighting a new curved technology at IBC

The lightweight LED solution uses patented flexible modules that can be bent concave and convex up to 30°. It can offer seven angle options and can be assembled into smooth curve screens of different curvatures that can help fulfil creative designs.

Combinations of LED backgrounds, ceilings and floors allow users to customise the virtual set, offering flexibility and ease of assembly in both fixed and rented installations.
