The Gemini 2x1 Hard RGBWW LED from Litepanels is claimed to be the brightest ever 2x1 RGBWW LED panel, delivering up to 23,000 lux at 3m of output from a lightweight, compact fixture.

Similar to the Gemini 1x1 Hard released last year, the double-size 2x1 Hard is claimed to produce full-spectrum white light, as well as RGB output and a range of creative cinematic effects.

Well hard: The bright Gemini 2x1is light enough to fly

It weighs 11.5kg, including yoke and integrated power supply, with a maximum power draw of 500W. Although only twice the size of the 1x1 Hard, the 2x1 version produces an output seven times brighter, creating a large volume of punchy light that can be softened with a range of diffusers.

Gemini 2x1 Hard can deliver a 20° beam of accurate hard white light, or switch to a soft 100° wash with included diffusion panels (ultra-light and domed diffusers). With no external ballast, the lightweight fixture is said to be quicker and safer to rig. Besides onboard controls, there are various wired and wireless control options: including integrated DMX, CRMX and RDM.

Michael Herbert, Product Manager, Litepanels, said: “We have combined the latest advances in LED technology with cutting-edge industrial design to push the boundaries of what is possible with LED lighting for cinema production.

“Gemini 2x1 Hard produces a greater volume of light than any other RGBWW LED panel available to gaffers and lighting designers today. No other 2x1 LED panel is this powerful or this versatile.”
