The new Extended Reality (XR) Edition of Pixotope’s graphics software is set to make its debut at IBC2022. Designed to mitigate the technical complexities and associated resource costs of XR workflows and environments with LED volumes, Pixotope’s XR Edition includes numerous tools to simplify set up and operation of XR productions for an improved and more efficient user experience.

Among the key features is a unique colour match functionality for AR to XR workflows with automatic colour sync between ICVFX, LED volumes and AR graphics. An LED mesh import and automatic alignment is intended to significantly reduce set-up time. There’s also the new ability to put images on LED volumes and AR renderings, so changing perspectives as users switch between cameras.

Beyond technical achievements, the company is introducing the Pixotope Education Program (PEP), described as a collegiate-level educational and community building initiative to help prepare the next generation of virtual production talent.

Developed as a response to the limited talent pool, PEP provides access to the software and tools that drive virtual production while connecting educators to experts from the global Pixotope community who can add breadth, depth and context to different curriculums.

Attendees can also see integrations with TrackMen, the real-time 3D camera and talent tracking company that Pixotope acquired in April 2022.
