Video streaming service TN Marketing has chosen Simplestream as a technology partner to expand its Craftsy service to mobile and tablet devices.
Built on Simplestream’s App Platform, the service features online courses and various other forms of video content focusing on crafts, hobbies, and lifestyle topics. Craftsy delivers over 1,500 premium, online classes on desktop, Roku, FireTV, and now iOS, and Android devices.
Simplestream said it has implemented new functionalities to bring transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) purchasing to the applications via in-app purchase workflows, and to make the checkout experience frictionless. The solution is fully integrated with Craftsy’s own authentication platform, making the experience consistent across any device.
Entire classes can be purchased directly from the apps with a single tap, then played back on any supported device, including desktop.

Simplestream has recently undertaken similar projects for Sony Kids, CBS, GB News, and Digital Theatre.
