Has IBC come at a good time for the electronic media industry? Why is this?
The broadcasting and media industry continues to evolve and transform at a rapid pace and we enjoy coming to IBC every year to showcase our innovation and engage with customers and partners. It is always a great opportunity for the entire industry to share and exchange ideas on key trends and the forward trajectory in broadcasting and media.

What do you think are the key developments in, or threats to, your market sector at the current time?
There is a clear shift among content owners, who are evolving towards offering content directly to consumers who expect high-end viewing experiences. Living up to these demands requires a complex transformation process, both from a tech and business perspective. Many companies can address parts of this complexity, but only a few can provide a fully-fledged offering for content-owners aiming at a direct-to-consumer business model. In this context Red Bee Media can provide services that enable a secure, fast and flexible go-to-market for businesses who want to monetise content and reach global audiences directly.

Additionally, the ongoing virtualisation and move to software and IP-based technologies, along with high speed wireless connectivity such as 5G, is creating possibilities for improved workflows and new commercial models. Through our innovation initiatives, including our Red Lab facilities in London and Hilversum, we continue to explore these possibilities. The result is new and improved services being presented to the market, including the world’s first software-only playout deployment, low-latency live OTT and highly efficient remote production workflows with reduced bandwidth.

Why should delegates visit your stand at IBC?
Red Bee Media is a trusted partner, driving transformation in an ever-changing media landscape, delivering end-to-end services that enable rich and engaging viewing experiences.

This year at IBC we will showcase the value of our services in an end-to-end demo leveraging our entire portfolio, as well as showing how we can deliver a live event directly to the viewer through our managed OTT platform, with content enriched by our data services offering.

We welcome all businesses investing in video experiences to come by stand 14.D26 to see how we can provide the best possible viewer experiences for their audiences.
