Rob is a consultant, industry analyst, writer and technologist advising international broadcast and media companies, technology vendors and industry associations. He works closely with the IBC conference and is a regular producer and host of IBC365 webinars.
As co-founder of Caretta Research, Rob is working with a team of leading media-tech analysts to transform traditional industry research by focusing on technology buyers and their project priorities, budgets, decisions and choice of vendors.
He supports multiple leading broadcast technology suppliers on product and market strategy, and is advising leading broadcasters and OTT platforms. Rob holds an MBA with Distinction from Imperial College, London.
Eric Klein, Director, Media Distribution, CDN Technology, Disney+
Eric is focused on video content delivery and optimization at the global streaming platform Disney+. Eric is also an avid member of the Streaming Video Alliance, acting as Co-Chair of the Open Caching Working Group. Earlier in his career, Eric has taken roles in product management, product marketing and project management, focusing on video platform development, live event streaming, social media integration and online video market analysis. He previously worked at Limelight Networks as a Solutions Engineer. He is an avid early technology adopter, with a passionate focus in home entertainment and a specialized interest in video quality and delivery.
Jorge Hernández Pablo, Head of CDN Development and Deployment, Telefonica/Movistar
Jorge heads the CDN Development and Deployment area in the Global Entertainment Services of Telefónica, including delivering the Movistar TV service.
Jorge has worked for the last 10 years in the internal development of Telefónica CDN. Prior to this Jorge held roles in other multimedia products including mobile advertising and ebooks at Telefónica R&D, where he started his professional career in some research projects related to wireless communications. He is based on Zaragoza (Spain) and holds a Telecommunication Engineering degree and an Executive MBA.
Adriaan Bloem, Head of Digital Infrastructure, Shahid
Adriaan Bloem is Head of Digital Infrastructure at Shahid. Part of MBC Group, the Dubai based broadcast powerhouse, Shahid is the world’s leading Arabic streaming platform, with AVOD, SVOD, and live streaming for a global audience. Adriaan is responsible for the cloud infrastructure, as well as video streaming and content delivery.
Gonzalo de la Vega, VP Strategic Projects, Fastly
Gonzalo de la Vega is the VP of Strategic Projects at Fastly, where he is responsible for working on strategic partnerships and M&A for strategic markets and verticals.
He has worked on most sides of the value chain, including digital music at Sony Music, music apps at Microsoft, and networks at Telefónica. Previously, Gonzalo served as CEO of Nice People At Work and SVP of Sales at Musiwave.
