Telikom PNG: To create triple-play offer with IPTV support from UniqCast

Telikom PNG currently provides voice and data telecoms services to its customers. The agreement with UniqCast means it will be able to add premium TV services to the mix as part of a triple-play offer.

UniqCast and its partner Benchmark Broadcast Systems, a system integrator from Singapore, provide content and subscriber management, streaming servers as well as a client application for Android TV STB devices.

Xavier Victor, CEO, Telikom PNG, said: “We selected the UniqCast TV platform because it combines middleware and streaming capabilities in a single platform and provides excellent user experience across all devices.”

UniqCast aims is to help telecoms operators, ISPs, broadcasters, OTT service providers, mobile and DVB operators to build turnkey IPTV/OTT/DVB multiscreen solutions in a cost-efficient way. Benchmark Broadcast Systems designs, installs and commissions television stations and channels for customers across Asia.
