Meyers: “technologically differentiated products gaining interest in the Asia-Pacific region”

Meyers brings over 30 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific market to the business and through his satcom experience, enhances ViaLite’s ‘experts in RF over fibre’ offering, the company says

Meyers’ experience within the industry has allowed him to develop working relationships with a number of satellite operators, cellular network operators and government entities. This experience and these relationships will, according to ViaLite, prove an asset in his management and support of the company’s expanding APAC distributor network.

ViaLite’s distributor network was expanded in 2019 and the company also began exhibiting at CommunicAsia last year.

Meyers said: “It is very exciting to join the ViaLite organisation, with its diverse customer base ranging from SMEs to blue chip organisations. The company has been able to accomplish remarkable results in the RF over fibre market and its technologically differentiated products have been gaining interest in the Asia-Pacific region, where I have been based for over two decades. I am keen to build up our APAC channel partner network at a time when some vendors are cutting back theirs.”

Meyers began his career as a software engineer in the United States before moving into the APAC satellite communications market. After joining Gilat Satellite Networks in 1997, he then re-located to Bangkok, Thailand, and assisted in developing a regional sales and technical support presence.
