Marquis is launching a workflow for production here at IBC, helping accelerate 5G content acquisition by reducing the volume of high-resolution video needed to be transferred for editing. The company has also added LiveU, Wolftech and Ross to its list of technology partners, in addition to existing integrations with Sony and Avid, in its bid to accelerate and streamline content gathering and production workflows.

Under the Marquis workflow, proxy files are uploaded from the camera or camera card via the Sony C3 Portal, and then Marquis automatically transfers these files to Avid MediaCentral or Media Composer for editing, complete with all metadata. Once in a sequence, the editor can relink to the partial extraction of high-res content – this is a fully automatic process and can happen from the Sony C3 Portal, directly from the camera, or from copied camera cards.
